Sanofi Philippines earns recognition as Health and Education Advocate at the 15th Annual CACHET Saxum Awards

At the 15th annual Saxum Awards of the Department of Education’s Campaign for Character Education Tenacity Program (CACHET), Sanofi Philippines earned an award as a Health and Education Advocate.

“We’re proud to have played a role in promoting health education in school communities,” said Sanofi Philippines General Manager for Vaccines Kashmira Prabhu. “Especially as social media can cause harmful misinformation on important health issues, health literacy has become a crucial life skill for our generation,” she adds. Sanofi was recognized for two major programs in partnership with the Department of Health: KiDS and Youth Health Patrol.

KIDS is a global diabetes education program by the International Diabetes Federation launched in 2020. Medical experts conducted sessions with teachers and students to raise awareness on how to prevent and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Meanwhile, through “Youth Health Patrol,” students were able to showcase their creativity and resourcefulness through posted videos, pictures, memes, infographics, and other materials on Facebook, garnering hundreds of positive engagements in their respective communities.
